I was able to go back to the original pressure settings for my materials and it worked on both of my Explore Air 2s.Which Edible Printer Do You Need? Compare and see which Printer System is best for you. I tightened all the screws and put the plastic cover back on. I cleaned it all up and reattached it all (Please take pictures if you're going to do this so you reassemble this part correctly). They were inside the springs and near the gears that move clamp B (blade clamp), which is the clamp that wouldn't lower the blade all the way. I noticed there were debris all inside here. The clamps will not fully come out as they're attached with wires and whatnot. ![]() What i did was use the screw driver and remove all the screws holding the white accessory and blade clamps on. Then you're able to fully see the accessory and blade clamps. It will not work unless you have a magnetized philips head, believe me, I tried. first I took off the silver plastic cover that sits above the accessory and blade clamps. I searched and searched and no matter what tips I tried, I just couldn't get it to work. They asked me to send a video, and I wasn't going to go through the trouble (I'm stubborn). I contacted Cricut customer service and they were not of much help. It didn't help, I tried new blades, mats, materials, etc. I originally thought it had to do with the pressure settings, so I changed those. The accessory and blade clamps would move, but they were making this awful crunching noise and it wouldn't fully lower the blade, so the blade wasn't even touching the material, therefore not cutting. Issue: the cuts were ending up jagged, the material would be shredded due to the cuts, and then eventually the machine stopped cutting. I thought I'd share something that helped dramatically improve the cuts I was getting on my Explore Air 2. It was a nightmare and I've ruined so many projects trying to deal with these issues. I was constantly having to increase the pressure settings for my materials in order for it to cut. Off and on my machines go through some weird phases where they start to cut everything jagged, they will tear my materials to shreds, it seems like it loses it's pressure over time, and recently I even experienced it not cutting whatsoever. I've owned them for about a year and use them daily, throughout the day, for business purposes. About 1/2 time my machines work just fine. ![]()
